The Middle Weights Draft Horse Art Print


"The Middle Weights" is a pulling team my husband and I competed with on the west coast. The left hand horse, Dan was half of the World Champion team one year and the right hand horse Jim was such a handsome fellow that he won a big halter class in Rifle Colorado over fancy hitch horses. They are shown pulling a stone boat loaded with 50 lb. salt blocks and are draped in heavy pulling harness complete with triple stitched traces, the super farm collars with pads and mechanical fasteners which break much less easily than the old leather type. All of it is right there drawn line by line. Also there are some photos of a few of our special teams, mostly Belgians and a Percheron.
